The new three-part crime thriller series by David Tennant debuts for a stellar audience Rotten Tomatoes Score

Season 3 debuted with an impressive 88% rating on Rotten Tomatoes

David Tennant's new crime series is impressing audiences as well as critics. It's a busy time for the Doctor Who icon. Only a few of Tennant's upcoming projects include Rivals Season 3, the successful continuation of the messy drama on Hulu. He will also be a guest star on another Hulu hit, Only Murders in the Building season 6, sharing the screen with the likes of Tina Fey and Colman Domingo. Time is available to watch on BritBox in the United States. A much darker series, the BBC One Time anthology, has recently returned for a third edition and features Tennant as co-head of Bobby Bailey, a custody manager who works at what is described as an institution for young offenders. But in three episodes, it becomes clear that what young offenders and loved ones go through is not as simple or as formal.

Season 3 debuted with an impressive 88% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. This number is based on fewer than 50 ratings sent by users, so it could change as more viewers get to the return of the drama. The public's positive sentiment is aligned with the critics' assessment of Season 3. She has a perfect score of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on eight reviews. A two-time BAFTA nominee, Tennant appears alongside fellow nominee Siobhan Finneran, who reprises her role as Marie-Louise O' Dell, the prison chaplain, from the first two seasons of the anthology series. In particular, Season 3 focuses on Marie-Louise starting at the Young Offenders Institute, where she has a crisis of faith after everything she has seen. The show's creators Jimmy McGovern and Samuel Bailey wrote Season 3, with Paul Whittington directing.

Previous cast members include Sean Bean (Game of Thrones), Stephen Graham

Previous cast members include Sean Bean (Game of Thrones), Stephen Graham (Adolescence), Jodie Whittaker (Doctor Who), Bella Ramsey (The Last of Us) and Tamara Lawrance (The Silent Twins). Things get worse when a tragedy strikes, putting Marie-Louise in direct conflict with Tennant's character. He also faces a crisis of conscience, which constantly manifests itself as guilt. In the third season, Time similarly examines Peter and James, two teenage offenders, as they struggle with their prison. The program questions whether James will ever be able to confront his separated parents after an act of indiscriminate violence, and whether Peter will be able to confront the truth about the death of an innocent family member.

The friendship between Peter and James is also a major focus, with BBC One Original also starring Daniel Ryan as Freddie Jennings, Jo Joyner as Nicola, Vinette Robinson as Erica, Louis McCartney as James, Ollie McNulty as Peter and Chukwubuikem Molokwu as Christopher. But while the general consensus is that the three-episode saga is powerful and exciting, some reviews claim that its constant sad tone makes it difficult to connect with the characters.
