The film boasts a star-studded voice cast, including Carey Mulligan, Mahershala Ali, Jacob Tremblay, Awkwafina, Angela Bassett, Charlie Day, Jemaine Clement, and Tom Waits.

In his review for IGN, critic Tom Jorgensen wrote that „Wildwood” is a captivating and thrilling fantasy epic, made even more impressive because its fully realized and well-thought-out world is created by hand and animated with stop-motion. The message about grief and coming of age, conveyed through this Laika studio and director Travis Knight project, is admirable, and the sense of scale and playful spirit of „Wildwood” are a constant delight for viewers.

Laika Studios has a long history with stop-motion animation. It is the studio responsible for films like „Coraline,” „ParaNorman,” „The Boxtrolls,” „Kubo and the Two Strings,” and „Missing Link.” „Wildwood” fits perfectly into this tradition, adding real emotional weight to the narrative thanks to the expressiveness of the hand-animated characters.

This title is not the only film scheduled for home release in the coming months. Pre-orders are also open for other titles, such as „Clayface” and „The Odyssey,” as well as new 4K editions of classics, including the original „Die Hard” trilogy.
