Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie Reunite for Dogfight, Their Sixth Film Together

Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie Enter Chapter Six: Fans Predict the Same Formula

The official announcement immediately sparked a flood of reactions on social media, where the public identified a recurring model in their collaborations. On X (formerly Twitter), Netflix posted that their sixth film, DOGFIGHT, is written and directed by Guy Ritchie, with filming scheduled for early 2027. Responses came quickly, with many users comparing the new production to the team's typical operation. One fan summarized the expected scenario: Dude, I hope it's about Jason Statham, a former criminal – a man of the night in retirement – who is pulled out of his quiet life and thrown back into a violent world he didn't want to re-enter. And yes, he beats up people. Another joked about Ritchie's directing methods: Sixth film together.

At this point, Guy Ritchie just gives Statham an address in London and a man to throw through a window. A third dismissed the news with disdain: They're making the same film again after about 15 years... Another user wrote: Spoiler alert: it's exactly the same as the previous six, while another fan added: So it will be the same story, but with a different theme, with an actor who plays the same character in every film. Very excited to see this movie. We already know that Jason Statham will hit 20 people in a suit, showing extreme anger – Ntamahoro (@tentasiyo), November 3, 2026. Netflix describes Dogfight as „a stylized action revenge film set in London's criminal underworld.”The platform has kept the plot details under wraps. Ritchie handles the script, direction, and production. Statham plays the lead role and produces through his own label, Punch Palace. Filming will take place in the UK in early 2027. This production continues a partnership that began with Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and continued through Snatch, Revolver, Wrath of Man, Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, and the upcoming Viva La Madness. Whether the sixth film breaks the formula or repeats it, fans have already made their prediction clear.
