America’s Got Talent has been a staple of daytime television since 2006. The show’s production costs are high, and Los Angeles offers a ready pool of talent and crew. If the network decides to relocate, it could impact local jobs and the city’s entertainment reputation. Mandel, who has worked in the industry for decades, noted that many of his colleagues would also be affected by a move.
Will America’s Got Talent Stay in Los Angeles? What’s at Stake?
The network has not announced any concrete plans to shift the show’s base. Industry insiders suggest that a relocation could be part of a broader cost‑cutting strategy. However, the show’s popularity and its long‑standing partnership with ABC make a sudden move unlikely. Mandel’s uncertainty reflects the broader anxiety among cast and crew about the future of the program.
The question on everyone’s mind is whether AGT will remain in Los Angeles. If the show stays, it will continue to provide a platform for aspiring performers and maintain the city’s status as a TV production center. If it moves, the local economy could feel the impact, and fans might lose a familiar filming location.
