Marc Jacobs and Disney Launch Retro Ski-Themed Mickey Mouse Kids Collection
A Vintage Ski Aesthetic
The new Disney and Marc Jacobs kids’ line draws from old ski club styles. It is a 20-piece winter sport collection. It launches Tuesday, October 20. Items include puffer jackets, tees, and accessories. These feature retro mountain illustrations and ski passes. Playful Mickey Mouse graphics appear throughout. Distinctive details include embroidered sleds and slope flags. Ski goggles with a trompe l’oeil effect are also included. Prices range from $55 to $265. The range extends to footwear, hats, and bags. You can buy at Marc Jacobs and Kids Around sites, plus Disneyland Paris.
Culture picks:
Continuing a Long Partnership
This launch extends the Disney-Marc Jacobs partnership, which began in 2013. Their most recent project was in February 2025. That focused on a children’s clothing collection. Now the focus shifts to retro ski station culture. This fits Disney’s ongoing effort to enter designer fashion. Earlier this month, Golden Goose presented its own Mickey & Friends collaboration. It combined a footwear and accessory capsule with a global customization tour featuring Disney character artists.
Other Disney Fashion Collaborations
In 2020, Alessandro Michele, then Gucci creative director, celebrated Lunar New Year with a Mickey Mouse collection. It included ready-to-wear, bags, shoes, and accessories. The signature GG Supreme canvas was rewritten with Mickey graphics. Campaigns were shot by Harmony Korine at Disneyland. In 2022, Givenchy, under Matthew M. Williams, launched a „101 Dalmatians” capsule. It featured varsity jackets, tees, bags, and jewelry. These were decorated with the film’s dogs and the 4G logo.
